What families are saying about Family Support & Connections (FS&C).

All FS&C families are asked what they like best about our program. Here's what they said:

  • I liked how she made me feel like she really cared about what was going on in my life.

  • My advocate helped me get things worked out. She helped me get furniture for me and my kids.

  • There is someone to talk to when you need them. They are so nice and helpful!

  • My family advocate bent over backwards to find me help for my family and myself.

  • They treated me personally, as an individual, not just a number.

  • They are non-judgmental. They can help me with just about any question I have.

  • They were able to help pay some of my rent so we didn't get evicted. My family advocate would just listen to me when I needed someone to talk to. She's great!

  • It was nice talking to someone who cares and has resources to offer a single dad.

  • They helped me with parenting classes, food, and clothing.

  • They helped me connect to community resources so that I could use what I have learned to help myself and family in the future.

  • The staff was really nice and friendly. My family advocate offered to take me to appointments that I had trouble getting to.

  • I liked the fact that the worker went out of her way to get my children clothes, toys and books. I had escaped from an abusive relationship and I didn't have any of those things for my children. It was wonderful getting the help I needed.

  • I liked the workers flexible schedule. She was able to meet with us past her normal working hours.

  • This was a hard time for me. She cared about what is going on in my life.

  • I like having someone to share my thoughts and feelings with and it is nice to know that there are people who care and will help and that I'm not alone in this.
